Delicious reasons to visit Santa Barbara. Explore Santa Barbara’s amazing cuisine.

Experience SB Public Market

This Santa Barbara’s premier food hall is a must-visit for hungry people and food, wine & beer enthusiasts. Part of a mixed-use development in the heart of downtown (Alma del Pueblo), in the cultural and performing arts district. This indoor spot contains an artisanal grocery area, as well as over a dozen specialty merchants. There’s a cheese store, a butcher, a cupcake shop and so much more, packed into one inviting, continuous space. Many of the merchants sell prepared food that you can enjoy in the market or take to go. Get Thai noodles at Empty Bowl or a fresh plate of spaghetti at The Pasta Shoppe or Chef Dario Furlati of Ca’Dario Pizzeria Veloce. Or sit down for a plate of oysters from Santa Monica Seafood. There’s also a wine and beer bar! If you drive there: the place has free parking under the building!

Taste an amazing array of handcrafted culinary delights at the Santa Barbara Public Market. Located in a bright and modern LEED-certified space in the heart of downtown, this bustling food hall showcases the incomparable bounty of California’s Central Coast region. You’ll find a wide selection of artisanal food and drinks to please any palate, all locally sourced and conveniently located under one roof.

Whether you’re in the mood for sweet or savory, light or hearty, this goldmine of a gourmet market is brimming with tempting choices. Enjoy delectable Thai- and Taiwanese-inspired noodle bowls and dumplings at Empty Bowl Noodle, or try the fresh and inventive Mexican fare from Corazon Cocina. If you’re craving Italian, Chef Dario Furlati of Ca’Dario Pizzeria Veloce serves up fantastic wood-fired pizza and handmade pasta. Visit Wabi Sabi for a dazzling array of sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls and other highlights of Japanese cuisine. Vegan? Flock to Fala Bar for their 100% plant based and vegan menu with a Middle Eastern twist. Ready for dessert? Head to Rori’s Artisanal Creamery for a decadent treat. Afterwards, kick back and relax in The Garden (an urban-contemporary beer garden) with a delicious brew—there are 41 on tap to choose from.
